Staggered Bells, Healthy Kids Survey Results
The
Boys and Girls Club of Pembroke received a $5,000 Spark
Grant (http://www.heartandstroke.ca/spark) from the Heart
and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (http://www.heartandstroke.ca).
The goal of
this grant
project is to have a before and after school program in several Renfrew
County schools by September 2010 to encourage and assist students to
stay healthy. To determine if
a a Before
& After School Program is of
interest to our community, the Club conduct a survey during
May and June 2010.
With an encouraging 67% of respondents showing interest, the Club now offering a before and after school program. The program would include homework help, nutritious snacks, sports activities and crafts. For more information, please visit our Before and After School page or contact Bonnie at (613) 735-1933.
